Perry "Pete" Hillier

Perry “Pete” G. Hillier, 66, of Kewanee, died Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the home of his son. Pete was born August 12, 1953 in Galesburg, the son of Ernest and Rhoda (Bevard) Hillier. Pete graduated from Galesburg High School. He also graduated from Blackhawk College as an EMT. Pete is survived by his mother Rhoda (Ted) Yette, Galesburg; two sons, Craig Hillier, Toulon, Christopher Hillier, Ottawa; one daughter, Kara (James) Powell, Kewanee; six grandchildren, Payten and Preston Hillier, Leah Hillier, Kamdyn, Brycelyn, and Hensley Powell; and three brothers, Dale (Vickie) Hillier, TX, Terry Hillier, Galesburg, Stan (Cathy) Hillier, Galesburg. Pete was preceded in death by his father, Ernest. Pete worked as an EMT in Kewanee and was a self-employed farmer. Pete enjoyed performing in the theatre at Blackhawk. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling and staying active. Pete was a hardworking man. He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
