Marlene Ellen Twito the daughter of Edwin and Vivian (Murley) Juhl was born April 4, 1938 in Estherville, Iowa. She died on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa at the age of 81.

She graduated from Gruver High School in 1955.

On June 3, 1956 she was united in marriage to Merlin "Mokey" Twito at the First Presbyterian Church in Estherville. The couple made their home near Wallingford and Estherville. Marlene worked at West Oaks from 1985 until 1998. In 1998, the couple moved to Arnold's Park. For hobbies, she enjoyed word puzzles, solitaire, mowing the yard and most important was spending time with grandchildren. Merlin died in 2017.

Marlene was a member of Wallingford Lutheran Church.

Left to cherish Marlene's memory are her children: Terry Twito of Estherville; Cindy (Matt) Mickelson of Peoria, Arizona and their children Emily (Conor) and Tyler; Connie (Jim) Early of Milford, Iowa and their children Lauren and Drew. Marlene is also survived by her sister Beverly (Jack) Hasslinger of Mesa, Arizona and sister-in-law, Mary Juhl of Des Moines, Iowa.

Marlene is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Erwin Juhl and infant daughter Julie Ann Twito.
