Linda “June” Wilkins June 2, 1950 – November 16, 2019 Linda “June” Wilkins, age 69, of Talking Rock, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. June was born June 2, 1950 in Habersham County to T.R. and Bennie Mae Whitey. June is survived by her husband, Charles Wilkins of Talking Rock; children, Scotty Wilkins (Joan) of Talking Rock, Tina Dean (Scott Fowler) of Talking Rock, Amy Cannady (Casey) of Talking Rock; brothers and sisters, Herbert Whitey (Shirley) of Gainesville, Jimmy Whitey (Erma) of Dawsonville, Jean Sheriff (Weldon) of Dawsonville, Ann Wehunt (Jimmy) Dahlonega, Jane Karnes (Wayne) of Gainesville, Judy Tyner of Gainesville, Rose Sosebee (Ronald) of Gainesville; grandchildren, Jay Dean (Maggie), Tatem Dean (Taylor), Syndel Johnson (Tyler), Colton Wilkins (Rianna), Bryce Wilkins, Bailey Cannady, Aspen Edwards; great-grandchildren, MaKenzi Johnson, Madaleigh Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Jesse James Dean, Waylon Wilkins, Weston Wilkins, Charlie Dean, and on the way Carly Jo Wilkins; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by parents, T.R. and Bennie Mae Whitey; brother Winston Whitey; sister, Edna Simmons. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Mill Creek Baptist Church in Lumpkin County with Reverend Rodney Pilcher, Reverend Tim Pruitt, Reverend Jimmy Wehunt officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Jasper. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper, GA.
