Earl Causey Obituary

Mr. William Earl Causey, age 69, of Villa Rica, GA, passed away November 16, 2019. He was born November 18, 1949 in Bremen, GA to the late Homer Lee and Eunice Williams Causey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lem and Maggie Williams; sisters, Glenda Truett, Dura Lee Massingill and Dorothy Jean Hayward. Mr. Causey was drafted into the Army in 1969 serving in Vietnam for two years. He then made his home in Cobb County for thirty years before moving back to Carroll County and was an active Georgia Bulldog fan. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball teams and served on the Board of Directors at Wallace Park. He loved outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and enjoyed time with his family. His career was as a machinist and welder. Earl leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 51 years, Glenda Coggins Causey; daughter, Mandy Causey; both of Villa Rica; son and daughter in law, Chris and Amy Causey of Bremen; grandchildren, Dalton McKinzie, Bria Smith, Mayson McKinzie and Ben Causey; like a daughter (special niece), Ginger McKinzie of Tallapoosa; sister and brothers in law, Mary Jane and Michael Knoll of Bremen, Tex Truett of Bremen and Mickey Massingill of Tallapoosa and brother and sister in law, Jerry and Mary Causey of Tallapoosa; nieces and nephews, Candy Mewborn, Stacey Setlock, Valerie Davis, Wayne Causey, Tina Bearden, Candy Massingill, Cindy Rainwater, Shannon Simpson, Kimberly Simpson, Tammy Williams and Mickey Simpson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 4:00 PM from the Miller Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel with Revs. Shane Leggett, Jay Mann and Corky Addison officiating. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Dalton McKinzie, Mayson McKinzie, Shannon Simpson, Brad Causey, Wayne Toler and Ben Causey. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Causey, Jerry Causey and Johnny Causey. Incryptment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. His family will receive friends, Sunday, November 17th from 5:00 – 8:00 and again Monday, November 18th from 4:00 – 8:00. In lieu of flowers (mainly sprays or stands) donations are suggested to The American Diabetes Assocation at www.diabetes.org. Potted flowers or plants are welcomed.
