Imogene Louise Sims, 91, of Parkersburg went to be home with her Lord and Saviour on November 14, 2019. She was born on February 23, 1928 in Belpre, OH and was the daughter of the late Russell Phillip and Estella Hoselton Vincent.
She graduated in 1946 from PHS, was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and member of Sunrise Baptist Church for 70 years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, plants, bowling and babysitting.
Imogene is survived by four children, Larry Sims of Mineral Wells, Rebecca (Gene) Gregory of Stuart, FL, Brenda (Larry) Townsend of Parkersburg, Elaine (Rick) Johnson of Parkersburg; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Janet (Joe) Brookover and Karen (Mike) Jarvis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Richard Sims; daughter, Darlene Hart; infant daughter, June; granddaughter, Amanda Cain; daughter-in-law Lanore Sims; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Monday 11:00 am at Sunrise Baptist Church with Reverend Casey Dawson officiating.
Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery, Belpre, OH
Visitation will be held Sunday 3-5 pm at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, WV.
