Alice Allen was born in Brookston,Texas to parents Frank and Ruby Bradford on September 18, 1930. She was the oldest of six children born to this union. She recieved her formal education in Honey Grove, Texas, graduating from Bralley High School. Alice furthered her education in Denver, Colorado as a licensed cosmetologist, a career that she both enjoyed and excelled at. This was a career that she both enjoyed and excelled at, winning many awards. She retired in the mid-90's. Alice was a member of Zion Baptist Church for over 50 years, she loved her Pastors, Wendell T. Liggins and Frank M. Davis and her church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ruby, daughter; Sandra Allen Bigboy, sisters; Ida Willard and Bessie Davis, auntie; Dorothy Council and former husband; Charles Allen. Alice is survived by her two sons; Michael and Marcus both of Arizona, sisters; Ernestine White(James), Reba Johnson both of Denver, brother; Frank Bradford Jr.(Faye) of Dallas,graddaughter Demiko Davis Cherry(Anthony) of Jacksonville,FL,; one great granddaughter, Toni Cherry and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Alice was a selfless person that would give to anyone that was in need. She was dearly loved and will be missed.
