Bernard "Bernie" Ehle

Bernard M. “Bernie” Ehle, 81, of Fenwick, passed away at home on Saturday November 9, 2019 under the loving care of his family and Sparrow Hospice. A man of many talents, Bernie was a story teller, auctioneer, an artist, a business owner, former chief union steward for the UAW 137, he attended the Bible Wesleyan Church, enjoyed tractor and steam engine shows, started the Fenwick Youth Club, but most of all, he was a family man who gave the best hugs ever! Bernie graduated from Central Montcalm High School. On January 16, 1960, he married Rosemary Davis and together they have enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage. He served his country in the United States Army and ran his own patio stone business. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Surviving Bernie is his wife; Rosemary, his children; William (Carla) Ehle of Fenwick, Jeffrey (Polly) Ehle of Sand Lake, B. Scott (Rebeca) Ehle of Spiro, OK, and P. Kay Naab of Woodland, MI. Grandchildren; Bill (Rob) Ehle of Lansing, Ed Everingham of Sheridan, Necole (Tom) Lowery of Sheridan, Jake Jensen of Sand Lake, Nikki Jensen of Sand Lake, Sam Campbell of Stanton, Brandon (Mary) Ehle of Fenwick, Felicia (Patrick) Tuttle of Saranac, Adam Hardy of Remus, Christopher (Olivia) Ehle of Pearidge, AR, Chelsea (Troy) Frazer of Calera, OK, Charli (JW) Karnes of Okalhoma City, OK, Becky (Maikon) Thomison of Wynnewood, OK, T.J. McAfee of Milcreek, OK, Troy (Sarah) Naab of Ionia, Jennifer (Bill) Charon of Ionia, Doug (Ceira) Naab of Foley, AL, Aleasha Ialongo of Crystal, 36 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way, his siblings; Margaret (Gilbert) Morris of Fenwick, Virginia Niswonger of Ohio, Ed Ehle, Fred (Joyce) Ehle, Milo (Molly) Ehle of Sheridan, Gene (Rose) Ehle of Stanton, along with many other extended family and friends. Bernie is preceded in death by his father; Merle Ehle, his mothers; Ludell and Dorothy, mother in law; Ruby Davis, sisters; Pat (Buck) Hopkins, Joyce Ann (Don) Wallace, brother is law Bob Niswonger, grandson; David Austin Ehle Wilches, sister in law; Donna Ehle, many nieces, nephews and great friends. Visitation will be on Thursday November 14, 2019 from 12pm to 1pm with funeral services starting at 1pm, at Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan. Burial will be in Sunny Hill Cemetery in Fenwick. Memorial contributions in memory of Bernie may be directed to the charity of your choice.
