Delbert A. "Bud" Haynes

Delbert A. “Bud” Haynes, 77, of Boonville, Indiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville. He was born on February 2, 1942 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Loren and Thelma (Shelton) Haynes. Delbert worked as a mill operator at Alcoa for 38 and a half years and was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed woodworking, as well as his Kubota tractor. He attended Freedom General Baptist Church and was a member of the Boonville American Legion Post #200. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Verna Jean (Bruner) Haynes; daughter, Patty Shaffer; son, Robert Haynes; grandchildren, Michael Chivalier, Cleora Haynes, Mackenzie Haynes, Haley Kovach; sister Judy Woolard as well as 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his two sisters, Anita Hargrave and Shirley Haynes. Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana with Pastors David Sutton and Jimmy Haynes to officiate and to include military honors. Burial will follow at the Freedom Cemetery in Boonville, Indiana. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
