Bruford “Bruce” Andrew passed away peacefully on November 8th, 2019 at Baptist Health in Lexington, KY surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 19th, 1934 in Jackson County, Kentucky to the late Lucy (Whicker) and Oscar Andrew.
Bruce was an independent fuel station owner for 34 years with his last 10 years owning Midway market in Berea. In his retirement Bruce enjoyed spending lots of time with his large family, enjoying good food, and keeping the perfect yard.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Henrietta. They had four children; Greg Andrews of Richmond, KY, Jerry (Shirley) Andrew of Berea, KY, Pamela (David) Lawson of Richmond, KY, and Rhonda (David) Vance of Lexington, KY; seven grandchildren, Amber Nichole, Brittney (Andrew), Aaron (Stephanie), Austin, Alex, Brooke (Zach), Adam, and two great grandchildren; Logan, Larkyn, and a baby boy on the way.
Bruce was preceded in death by brothers, Denny, Arnold, Ray, Albert, and Rudy – twin brother; sisters, Verla, Beulah, Nola, Alma, Lola, and Virgie. He is survived by brothers, Virgil (Eula) of Tyner and Don of Richmond, KY.
Funeral services will be 12pm, Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Crestview Holy Sanctuary Church with Bro. Achee Eads officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-9 pm at the church.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Andrews, Austin Andrew, Alex Andrew, Adam Andrew, Andrew Jones, and Zach Brisbay. Honorary bearers will be Steve Carr, Gaston Bowling, Russell Smith, Manton Ray Cornett, Ralph Ford, and Harold Mason.
