William Norman Crawford

William Norman Crawford 71, of Riley Township, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019, at home. He was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada March 23, 1948, son of the late Reginald and Norma (Sisson) Crawford. His Marriage to Darlene Mae Nitz was July 29, 1967, in Wadhams. He served his country with the United States Army in Vietnam from 1967 to 1970. “Butch” was an owner/operator truck driver for over 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and aggravating people. Surviving in addition to his wife Darlene of 52 years is his children, DeJay (Stacey) of Marysville, Laura Crawford of Saginaw, Ryan (Paula) Crawford of Kenockee Township; grandchildren, Matthew, Hayley, Brittany, Courtney, Kyle, Drew, Seth, Kerryn, Cole, and Travis; great-grandchildren, Emma, Rian, Sofia, Raven, Amelia, Liam, and Reese; siblings, Marilyn Warren, Lynn Peabody, Susie (Mike) Bland, and Bob (Peggy) Crawford and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his son William Jr. and his brother Rick Crawford. The family honors the memory of Butch and invites you to visit and share memories on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale, with funeral services at 7:00 p.m. Cole Crawford, his grandson, will officiate.
