Bruce Alexander Clawson

Bruce A. “J.R.” Clawson, 87, Bolivar, passed away at home on November 9, 2019. Born June 7, 1932 in Johnstown the son of the late Alfred Bruce Clawson and Florence Hannah (Miller) Clawson. Also preceded in death by brother Robert and Raymond Clawson and sister Grace Showman. Survived by wife of 62 years Ginger (Stewart) Clawson. Sons Keith W. Clawson and wife Linda, Monroeville and Kirk Clawson, Lancaster. Grandchildren Brandi Clawson, Deltona, FL; Kayla Clawson, Lancaster; Kirk Clawson, Jr., Mount Joy. Sister Doris Barron, Mechanicsburg J.R. was a US Army veteran of the Korean era in serving Alaska and a member of the Bolivar American Legion Post 128. He retired Opertating Engineers Local #66 and was a local excuvator who enjoyed his work. J.R. also enjoyed wintering in Florida, going to NASCAR races and dirt track racing, watching steelers games and especially spending time with his grandchildren. The Clawson family would like to express their sincere gratiude to VNA/Hospice for their care and support. Memorial Service will be held 1 pm Thursday at Bolivar United Presbyterian Church, 712 Lincoln St., Bolivar, PA 15923. Pastor Jim Suneri officiating. Inurment Armagh Cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the basement of K&K Flowers, 736 Lincoln St., Bolivar. In lieu fowers memorial donations by me made to either Bolivar U. P. Church or VNA/Hospice 850 Hospital Rd.
