Deacon Bob Esposito, 80, peacefully passed away from this earthly life on Friday, November 8, 2019 in The Villages, Florida. Deacon Bob was born on July 27, 1939 in the Bronx, New York to his parents Anna and Carmine Esposito. Deacon Bob graduated from James Monroe High School in 1960, Hunter College in 1964, graduated with his Master’s Degree in 1968 from CUNY, PDP Degree from Fordham University in 1976, and he was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate in the Archdiocese of NY in 1979. Deacon Bob worked as a school principal for children with special needs for most of his life, working in school systems in NYC, Putnam and Northern Westchester County. He also taught at the College level as an adjunct Professor for over 20 years. He then retired from the city schools and fulfilled his dream of being a school principal of a Catholic School in White Plains, NY. Deacon Bob and his wife, Ann, were the Directors of Religious Education for over 35 years in Mahopac, NY. Deacon Bob was married to the love of his life, Ann Cafarelli, on October 28, 1961. They were blessed with 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 58 wonderful years of married life together. Deacon Bob loved Jesus, loved his family, was proud of his Italian heritage and truly lived his life with his priorities in order of Faith, Family, Friends and Career. His love for his family was unconditional, and he was so proud of all of his children and grandchildren’s accomplishments. Deacon Bob was predeceased by his parents Anna and Carmine, his brother Augustine and his sister Louise. Deacon Bob is survived by his wife Ann (Cafarelli); children Bernadette (Richard) Cecchini; grandchildren Arianna and Domenic, Joseph (Mary) Esposito, Harmony, Jordan, Jacob and Shay, Jude-Ann (Richard) Gargiula, Louis and Anthony, brother Carmine (Marie) Esposito, nephew Robert and niece Tina; nephews Anthony, Richard and Louis Marchesano. Wake services will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, November 15, 2019 at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 7081 SE Hwy 42, Summerfield, FL, Prayer Service to follow. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Mark Evangelist Church. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Lady Lake, FL.
