Helen M. Blanchette Obituary

Millinocket - Helen (Montgomery) Blanchette, born February 16, 1934 in Millinocket, passed away peacefully at home and surrounded by her beloved family on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Helen was faced with many challenges from childhood through her adult life, however, she endured through them all with faith, strength and perseverance and she never lost her sense of humor through the very end.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Blanchette, and beloved cat, Bandit, eight children: Larry Vienneau and companion Cathy Savoie of Milford, CT, Allen Vienneau and wife Donna of Milford, CT, Keith Vienneau and companion Tory Maiko of Milford, CT, Matthew Vienneau of Millinocket, Lori Vienneau of Millinocket, Carla Vienneau and companion Michael Bouchard of Brewer, David Vienneau and wife Marie of Dover-Foxcroft, Joanna Berry and husband Brian of Millinocket; a step son, Michael Blanchette of Brockton, MA. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and four siblings: Richard Montgomery and wife Esther, Beverly Pelkey and husband Nelson, Carol Robinson and husband Roger, and Rose Bragdon and husband Bill.
She was predeceased by her parents, Leona (Bouchard) Montgomery and Frederick Montgomery, husband Eugene Vienneau, husband Gil Arnold and beloved dog Buffy, nine siblings: Billy, Freddie, Ronnie, Leslie, Gene, Ramona, Marlene, and Virginia, as well as special friend since childhood, Shirley Morrow.
Helen was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church, and a member and volunteer of the Emblem Club and Elks Lodge. She enjoyed many years of camping at The Big Eddy, darts at the Elk's Lodge, Karaoke at the American Legion, pitch at VFW, bowling in area leagues, bingo, and working on various craft projects. She loved to cook for her family and fully enjoyed the many family gatherings with her children and grandchildren. She also looked forward to day trips to Bangor for lunch and shopping (even if she didn't need anything, and then returning most of what she bought!).

Saturday, November 16 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby Street, Millinocket.
