Jeannett D. Parker, age 86, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tommy Painter and Pastor Dottie Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Waleska Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 11th from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour. Jeannett was a member of Waleska Church of God of Prophecy and a former cook at R.T. Jones Hospital. She enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her grandson and great-granddaughter. Jeannett was an avid Wrestling and Brave's fan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ed Parker; parents, Roy and Nealie Blalock; five brothers and two sisters; Survivors include her son, Edward "Gene" Parker (Donna); grandson, Edward "Gene" Parker, II; great-granddaughter, Kelcie Grace Parker; siblings, Ruby Watson, Ruthie Lamanac and Fred Blalock; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
