KENT, Evelyn Ruth (nee: Miller) - passed away peacefully at Chartwell Westmount Long Term Care in Kitchener, on Saturday November 9, 2019 in her 97th year. Evelyn was born at home on November 4, 1923 in Stamford ON (Niagara Falls). Loving mother of Arthur James (Mary) of Cayuga, John Charles (Donna) of Kitchener and Holly Lynne McCallum (Andrew) of Oshawa. Grandmother of Nicole, Nadine, Natasha, Tara, Graham, Geoffrey and Matthew. Great-grandmother of Liam, Ava, Ezra, Teagan, Aislyn and Asher. Predeceased by her husband Arthur Kent (2013), daughter Heather Louise (1954) and her parents Cloy (1978) and Sybil Miller (2001). Her lifelong working career as a secretary/bookkeeper began at the Cyanamid followed by CIBC, Seagram's Tower, Niagara Helicopter and Jordan Photography. Over the course of her life, mom enjoyed painting, crafts, bridge and her dogs. Cremation has taken place and at Mom's request there will be no visitation or service. A private family interment will take place at Drummond Hill Cemetery at a later date.
