David Trivette

Mr. David Duane Trivette, better known as "Duane", age 77, of Fleetwood passed away Saturday morning, November 9, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 2:00pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Deep Gap with Rev. Vernon Eller, Rev. Paul Coffey and Rev. Tim Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in the Watson Family Cemetery in Deep Gap. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2019; two hours prior to the funeral service. Mr. Trivette was born in Ashe County on March 18, 1942 to the late David Mansfield and Bertie Mae Greer Trivette. He drove a truck for long distance most of his working career. He enjoyed watching Tarheel Basketball, working on his John Deer tractor and making sure his tractor and cars was all spotless. Duane was a hardworking man. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather; he will be missed by all. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Derek Trivette; two brothers, Ancil Trivette and Glenn Trivette; a sister, Glenna Mae Issacs; a uncle, Spencer Greer. Mr. Trivette is survived by: his wife, Marie Greene Trivette; four sons, Charles Wayne Trivette, of Fleetwood, Tony Trivette and wife, Lori, of North Wilkesboro, David Trivette and wife, Celeste, of Deep Gap and Johnny Trivette and wife, Tina, of Deep Gap; a daughter , Denise Osborne and husband, Ray, of Bethlehem; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
