Carrie H. Colson, 78,  of Sneads died Saturday, November 9, 2019 at her home. A native and life long resident of Jackson County, Mrs. Colson retired from the State of Florida as a Data Intake Clerk and attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Esther Jane Montgomery; parents, Lawrence E. and Lillie Mae Herndon Holmes and a brother, Clinton Eugene Holmes. Survivors include her daughters, Deborah DeShazo and husband Gene of Greenwood, Judy Harbin of Sneads, Kay Mount and Ken Dailey of Headland, Al; son, Michael Henry Howell of Sneads; grandchildren, Travis DeShazo and wife, Robin, Cody and Aaron Hampton, Heather Roberts and Jamie Mount.  great-grandchildren, Robert and Nikayla DeShazo; numerous nephews, cousins and extended family. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday, November 11, 2019 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Rev. John Miles officiating.  Interment will follow in the Waldroff Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
