Sondra Lea Kluba, nee` Shafferkoetter, was born January 18, 1941 to the late Guy Shafferkoetter and his wife Pearl nee` Lalk in Gerald, MO. She passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the age of 78 years. Sondra received her education at Gerald Elementary and then Union High School. She was united in marriage to Glennon Kluba on February 8, 1958 at Immaculate Conception Church in Union, MO. The family made their home in Union, and later moved to Leslie in 1996. Sondra operated a home daycare, for newborns to children age 5, from 1981 to 1996. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Sondra was preceded in death by her parents; twin daughters in 1965 in infancy, Katherine and Elizabeth; and two brothers, Guy Shafferkoetter Jr. and Charles Shafferkoetter. She is survived by her husband, Glennon Kluba of Leslie; two daughters, Carla Durham and her husband Michael of Union, MO and Nancy Kluba of Kansas City, MO; and her granddaughter Hannah Durham of Kansas City, MO. A Rosary was prayed at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, November 11, 2019 at the Oltmann Funeral Home in Union. Visitation for 78-year-old Sondra Kluba was held on Monday from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Oltmann Funeral Home in Union. Funeral Mass was Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Union. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception School or to Masses. The Kluba Family was served by the Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO.
