Curtis Neal Coleman

Curtis Neal Coleman 85 passed away Friday, November 8, 2019. Mr. Coleman was born on January 31, 1934 to the late Mary Lumpkins Coleman and the late Johnny Barksdale Coleman. Neal was a life member of Grace Design United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir and worked in other capacities. He retired from Life of Virginia after 33 years as District Manager. Neal also served on the Board of Mt. Hermon Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed playing golf, tennis and watching races. Neal was devoted to his family and loved his children and grandchildren. Mr. Coleman is survived by his wife Patty Cunningham Coleman; his daughter Wanda C. Overmann (Edward) of Glen Allen VA, and their two sons Eddie Overmann (Elizabeth) and Scott Overmann; step-daughter Sandra Garzon (Oscar) of Ringgold VA, and their two daughters Marli Garzon and Oriana Garzon. Neal also had five great-grandchildren. Mr. Coleman was predeceased by his sons Allen Coleman, Gary Coleman, his sisters Janie C. Newsom, Edna C. Thompson, Bessie C. Lumpkin, Helen Coleman, his brothers Nathaniel Coleman, Buford Coleman, Wesley Coleman and Frank Coleman. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Design United Methodist Church on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., with the visitation prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. The Reverend Lauren Todd will be officiating.
