Michael Allen Brooksher

Michael Allen Brooksher, 53, of Decatur, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur. Mike was born June 26, 1966 in Cairo, Illinois, the son of Avery Allen Brooksher and Agnes Ora Lee (Burns) Brooksher Dickerson. He proudly served his country in the USAF retiring after twenty-six years of faithful service. Mike then worked at Timken in Phoenix, Arizona and was an avid golfer. Mike is survived by his siblings Avery (Nancy) Brooksher of Elgin, South Carolina, Barbara Siewert of Mt. Zion, Judy (Jerry) Johnson of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, Kathy (Joe) White of Edinburg, Darlene Bradshaw of Decatur, and Phillip “Keith” (Jaime) Brooksher of Decatur and several nieces and nephews. Mike is preceded in death by his parents and sister Brenda Luther Theobald. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Mt. Zion. Graveside services with military honors will be 10:30 AM Friday, November 15, 2019 in Mt. Zion Township Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Decatur Macon County Animal Shelter.
