WENDZIK, Harry “Bud” Felix – of Montrose, Michigan, age 78, died Friday, November 8, 2019, at McLaren Flint Healthcare. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Taymouth Presbyterian Church. Pastor Scott Kroener will officiate. Burial will be in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, from 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at the Taymouth Presbyterian Church in Birch Run, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Taymouth Presbyterian Church. Bud was born October 30, 1941, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Harry Joseph and Helen Marie (York) Wendzik. He grew up in Taymouth Township and graduated from Birch Run High School with the class of 1959. On June 29, 1963, he married Sally Ann Friedl at Taymouth Presbyterian Church. Bud worked for Mitts & Merrill for 21 years and then retired from AC Delco after 18 years of service in 2002. He was a member of the Taymouth Presbyterian Church. Bud enjoyed golfing, softball, and tending to his garden. He was an avid sportsman that liked hunting deer and bear and going fishing. Bud also liked going to their cabin in Newberry, Michigan, with his family. Surviving are: Sally, wife of 56 years; Children: Brian (Sheryl) Wendzik, Lori Jankowski, Shari (Joey) Herzberg; Grandchildren: Madelaine (Ross) Wendzik, Miles Harrison Wendzik, Timothy Joseph Jankowski, Abigail (Keegan) Jankowski, Rachel (Matthew) Jankowski, Ava Herzberg, Logan Herzberg; Siblings: Carolyn (Richard) Weston, Richard (Janet) Wendzik, brother-in-laws Jon (Barbara Puglia) Friedl and Bill Mock, sister-in-law Mildred (James) Gavin; Aunts: Rosie Wendzik and Sally York; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Todd Joseph Wendzik, and sisters Barbara Mock and Dorothy Friedl.
