McCART, Betty – Passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Woodlands Of Sunset Nursing Home with her loving family at her side, at the age 85. Beloved wife of 60 years to Dave. Dearly loved mother of David (Maureen), Colleen (Bryan), and Shawn (Rose Ann). Cherished grandmother of Kristen (Rick), Sarah (Lucas), and Joshua. Special great grandmother to Magenta, Melena, Isabella, and Luca. Dear sister of Marguerite Duly. Predeceased by her parents Ambrose and Rose, and her brothers Cleo and Ross. She will be sadly missed by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Betty worked as a registered nurse for 30 years at the Welland General Hospital and the Woolcott Wing. After retiring, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels, The Welland Pirates Baseball Team, and the Women of Wesley United Church. She was an avid lover of music, sports/games, travelling, baking, and gardening. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Woodlands Of Sunset Nursing Home for their incredible care, compassion, and support provided to Betty. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the H.L.
