Mr. David Leon Winebarger, age 61, of West Jefferson passed away Friday morning, November 8, 2019 at Watauga Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 12:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Pugh and Rev. Keith Elledge officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00pm on Thursday, November 14, 2019; one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Winebarger was born in Surry County on October 8, 1958 to the late Carl Raymond and Helen Dean Dillard Winebarger. He was a member of Round Knob Baptist Church. He worked as a boat technician at Foothills Marina in Morganton. David enjoyed bass fishing, camping and drag racing. Mr. Winebarger is survived by: his wife , of 16 years of marriage, Lynn Miller Winebarger; a son, David Winebarger, Jr. and wife, Morgan, of Roaring River; a daughter, Debra Ann Price, of Hudson; a step-daughter, Debbie Caudill. of Millers Creek; a brother, Joe Winebarger and wife, Christy, of West Jefferson; five grandchildren, Joseph Winebarger, Mary Winebarger, Nathan Price, Brandon Price and William Price; two step-grandchildren, Brooke Waln and Olivia Caudill; two step great-grandchildren, Madalyn Roten and Kaylyn Roten; two fur babies, Snowball and Bella; several nieces and nephews also survive.
