Roosevelt Nobles

Roosevelt Nobles, age 83 of Whiteville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, November 9, 2019 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Angel House in Whiteville. Roosevelt was born on May 22, 1936 in Columbus County to the late Jetter Nobles and Eva Ophelia Fairfax Nobles. Also, preceding Roosevelt in death were his siblings, Annie Mae Blackwell, Hugh Sylvester Nobles, Jetter Nobles, Jr., Edward Sidney Nobles, Harold Nobles, Alice Croom, Lizzie Neill and Mabel Nobles. A viewing will be held from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Monday, November 11, 2019 at Worthington Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow in the Gowan Cemetery, Cerro Gordo. Pastor Donald Conway and Pastor Jim Skinner will be officiating. Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Jeanette Cribb Nobles of the home; children, Donna Nobles DeMoss (Jeffrey) of Whiteville, Danny R. Nobles of Wilmington; two siblings, Alvin Nobles of Whiteville, Ida N. Szabo of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Hannah Grace DeMoss, Ryan DeMoss (Sarah); great-grandchildren, Jackson DeMoss, Gavin DeMoss.
