Wendy L. Lane

Wendy Lane, 59 of Primghar, IA died Friday, November 8 at Prairie View Nursing Home in Sanborn after a nearly decade-long fight with Multiple System Atrophy. Wendy was born February 26, 1960 in Vermillion, SD to Robert Miller and Doris (Kvanbek) Miller. In 1973 she moved with her family to Albert Lea, MN. Wendy returned to Vermillion after high school to attend the University of South Dakota where she graduated with a teaching degree in elementary education. Wendy married Mark Lane on June 6th, 1981. After moving back to Albert Lea for a time, the couple moved their family to Northwest Iowa. They moved to Primghar in 1991 Wendy loved being a stay-at-home-mom to her three children, Rory, Ivy, and Sean. Motherhood was her passion, and her children were everything to her. Later, she would pursue another passion, substitute teaching at South O'Brien Elementary. As a book-lover, Wendy also filled in at the Primghar Public Library whenever she could. Wendy had so much love for her family, and her family dearly loved her. She leaves behind her parents Robert and Doris Miller, her siblings Stephen, Mark, and Holly Miller, her husband, Mark Lane, her children Rory (Kylee) Lane, Ivy (Christopher) Roed, and Sean Lane, her five grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. A private service will be held at a later date in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
