Dennis Ray Doucette, 66, of Saratoga, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019, at Kountze Nursing Center surrounded by his loving family. Dennis was born on February 12, 1953, in Silsbee, TX to the late Herman Doucette and Sarah Lee Campbell. Dennis was a retired oil field worker. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. Dennis was a faithful servant at New Life Church in Batson, TX. He loved his children and Paw-Paw enjoyed his grandchildren. He was a friendly person who never met a stranger. In his early years, he loved to fish and was mechanically inclined. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; son, Don Richard "Buckshot" Doucette; brother, Herman Bruce Doucette; sister, Violet Marie Doucette; and granddaughter, Caringtin Mosley. Those left to honor his memory are his daughters, Ramona Payne and husband Justin of Lumberton, Leona Lindsey and husband Mark of Sour Lake; sisters, Judy Bourgeous and husband Burl of Waco TX, Mary L. Wicker and husband Ed of Nacogdoches, Barbara L. Campbell and husband Ben of Saratoga, and Pamela S. Doucette of Saratoga; grandchildren, Trystin Payne, Brett Payne, Kensie Doucette, Lance Mosley, Ailey Lindsey, and Coleman Lindsey; great-grandson, Westyn Price; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of loving family and friends. A service of remembrance will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at New Life Church with Reverend Bill Campbell officiating, a private interment to follow. A gathering of Dennis' family and friends will also be on Sunday at New Life Church from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Honoring Dennis as pallbearers are Danny Smith, Brandon Campbell, Rodney Fregia, Michael Wicker, Nathan Wicker, and Coy Duty. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Lindsey and Justin Payne In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to New Life Church in Batson, TX.
