Cecile Marie Baigent Arichat, Nova Scotia Obituary

Cecile Marie Baigent

<p>Baigent, Cecile Marie, 71- of Dartmouth - It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend on November 7, 2019 in the QE11 Health Science Centre in Halifax after a year long battle with cancer. Born June 3, 1948 to the late Andrew and Josephine (Boudreau) Martell. Cecile worked at Booth's Fisheries for over 25 years. Our Mom loved to cook, bake, sew, play cards and go to bingo. She was kind hearted, selfless, feisty, witty, opinionated and swore like a trucker. Our Mom had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. Her greatest joys were her 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren who she loved immensely. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Arthur Baigent; daughters Tracy (Steven) Marchand, Mount Uniacke, Tanya (Shawn) Field, Mount Pearl, NL; sons Troy (Dowdee), Eastern Passage, Billy (Shirley), Dartmouth, Scott (Tiffany), Saskatchewan; grandchildren Christopher, Samantha, Steven, Connor, Nathanial, Katelynn, Sidney, Summer, Addison, Peyton, Aria; great grandchildren AJ, Sophia, Ashton and one on the way. Cecile is also survived by her brothers Vernie (Mary Louise), Samson’s Cove, Simon (Jan), James (Lana), Blair (Debbie), all of Halifax, Carl (Lisa), Louisdale, Harry (Andrea), Arichat; sisters Deltina (Wayne) Baigent, Louisdale, Madelaine (Bernie) Delanie and Doris (Craig) Martell, both of Halifax. She was predeceased by her youngest son Adam Baigent and sister Bernadette Babin. Our Family wants to thank all the nurses and doctors on the 5th floor of the VG hospital for the exceptional care that our mom received. We are forever grateful. Visitation will take place in the Glen Sampson Room in Louisdale on Wednesday November 13th from 2-4 &amp; 6-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place in St. Louis Church, Louisdale on Thursday November 14th at 1pm with Rev. Duncan MacIsaac presiding. Burial will take place in St. Louis Parish Cemetery at a later date. A reception will follow the mass in St. Louis Parish Hall, Louisdale. Memorial donations can be made to the family.
