Mrs. Geri Ann Norton, age 74, passed away suddenly on Wednesday afternoon, November 6th, 2019. She was born August 3, 1945 in Rochester, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Geraldine Servas. She was a 1963 graduate of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School in Rochester, NY and also attended Nazareth College. Geri lived her life for her family. Her world centered around her four grandchildren. She loved being their Oma! Geri never met a stranger, she was always quick to make you feel like family and always said after your first visit you were no longer a guest. She was loving and generous but also full of spunk and spirit and wasn’t afraid to share her opinions. She had a wonderful sense of humor and her laughter could fill a room. Her presence will be greatly missed but she is in our hearts forever and her legacy will never be forgotten. Geri is survived by her husband of 49 years, James Norton, her three daughters, Michelle Norton, Colleen Baxley (Rick), and Kara Raymond (Chris), her four grandchildren, Nate and Zach Baxley, Luke and Lexie Raymond, her beloved sister-in-laws, Ann Norton and Mary Lu Baird, several nieces and nephews, and lifelong best friend Kathy Mura, as well as many other family and friends too numerous to list but whom she adored. A memorial service will be held on Monday November 11th, 2019 at Palmetto Funeral Home at 4:30 p.m. Visitation and small reception immediately following.
