Michael Alan Linneer, 55, of Sherman, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2019 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana, Texas. Known to family and friends as Mike, he was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico, on June 03, 1964. He was the eldest son of the late Philip and Virginia (Fyie) Linneer. While still an infant, the family moved to El Paso, Texas. Michael attended El Paso’s Andress High School, where he met his future wife, Brenda Peczeli. After their marriage, his only child, Krystan Danae, was born. Michael also completed a degree in Microcomputer Applications from Southwest Institute of Merchandising and Design in El Paso. After working as an Electronic/Computer Technician for Industrial Communications and a Computer Support Technician for Executive Computer Services, Michael moved to Lubbock, Texas, where for the next 21 years he worked as the Service Manager/IT Administrator for Teletrust, a payphone company that provided service nation-wide for a variety of businesses including convenience stores, restaurants, halfway houses, and jails. At Teletrust, Michael was known as the “go to” guy for anything related to computers, and he created unique software programing for data analysis and performed computer and network software and hardware maintenance, repair and configuration. In 2005, Michael and his girlfriend, Gail Boyce, moved to Sherman, Texas, where he continued his career with Teletrust until the company could no longer remain competitive against the cell phone industry and closed its doors at the end of 2014. Michael then had several other jobs, most notably for Computech Corporations, where he repaired computerized cash registers throughout northern Texas and southern Oklahoma, and later worked as a Customer Service Representative for Alorica, in Sherman, Texas. In the spring of 2018, Michael was diagnosed with advanced diabetes and was no longer able to work. Michael had a variety of hobbies and interests throughout his life. As a teenager, he and a friend caught and kept, much to the dismay of their respective mothers, over 200 snakes and reptiles they collected in the deserts surrounding El Paso, Texas. He thoroughly researched the Titanic and for many years maintained a website devoted to the ship that included its stats and passenger lists. A self-professed “weather geek,” Michael was a certified National Weather Service Storm Spotter. He loved storm chasing all over the Texas Panhandle, and whether at work or home, at the first sign of inclement weather he usually had a weather radio nearby, ready to give the current updated weather report to anyone who asked. Michael combined his love of weather and storms with his other passion, photography. His portfolio contained many stunning lightning photos that received national recognition. He worked as a freelance photographer for his own company, Nightwing Photography, mainly photographing weddings. Michael was also an avid chess player, and he enjoyed attending various Renaissance Faires in Texas, Colorado and California. Although he readily admitted that he wasn’t the best golfer, he loved to watch golf and was a member of the US Golf Association. His other interests included NASA and the nation’s space program, and he keenly followed every Space X live launch. Michael’s biggest passion, however, was music. While in high school, he was a singer in a rock cover band that performed locally in the El Paso area. Throughout his life, he loved all genres of music, but his favorite music by far was heavy metal. He followed many artists and bands, relishing the latest album releases as well as spending many hours becoming familiar with artists that were new to him. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Virginia Linneer. Michael is survived by his girlfriend of 19 years, Gail Boyce. He also leaves behind his daughter, Krystan (Charlie) Roselius of Los Angeles, California, his brother Christopher (Laura) Linneer of El Paso, Texas, his sister Teresa (Jerry) Rymel of Crosbyton, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
