Kinder- Laura Fontenot “Tootie”, 51, passed away November 4, 2019 in Kinder. She was a native of Estherwood, graduated from Crowley High School and resided in Kinder, where she was employed at Kinder Rehab and Nursing Home as a laundry attendant for over twenty years. She loved to read, play games on her phone and read her bible. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Fay Ann Fontenot of Iowa, Vanessa Fontenot of Kinder and Angelle Meche of Kinder, two sisters, Sharlet Reeves of LeBlanc, and Brenda of Iowa , three brothers; Frank Laveron of Evangeline, Donald Meche of Laurel MS, and Greg Bertrand of Crowley, and four grandchildren; Duncan McDaniel, Kaylee McDaniel, Carter Fontenot and Nyla Fontenot . Laura is preceded in death by her parents Cornelius and Doris Broussard- Meche Funeral Services will be held at Reed Funeral Home Thursday, November 7th 2019 at 11 A.M. officiating the service is Brother Rod Nesmith.
