Passed away at the Carbonear General Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer on Monday, November 4, 2019, Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Harney of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 73 years. Predeceased by parents: Edward and Irene Gorman; brothers: Dick and Myles. Leaving to mourn, husband of 51 years: Rev; brothers-in-law: Wallace (Marina) Harney and Austin (Helen) Harney; aunt and uncle: Marg and Tom McCarthy; cousins: Pauline and Vince Hunt, Cathy and Terry Parsons, Tommy McCarthy (Agnes), and Alf and Jean Adams; friends: Gus and Lorraine Blyde, Kevin and Marie McGrath, Dave and Marilyn Hickey and Paul Ash (Amy); also a large number of other relatives and friends. There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, November 7 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Inurnment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Dr. H.
