Annabell May Fatzinger

Annabell May Fatzinger, 87, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, November 4, 2019, at her residence in Tiffin. Annabell was born on April 18, 1932 in Tiffin, to the late Orville R. and Hilda M. (Fruth) Wertz. She married Paul E. Fatzinger on August 12, 1950 and he preceded her in death on September 27, 1994. Other survivors include her children, Pauline Smith of Tiffin, Edward (Roberta) Fatzinger of Tiffin, Jerry (Judy Bender) Fatzinger of Bucyrus, Barbara (Mark) DeBarbrie of Tiffin, eight grandchildren, Kiesha (Brendon) Ruth, Kaleigh (Brett) Krupp, Kari (Javan) Rowe, Kyle (Amor Reis) Smith, Casey (George) Chatzidakis, Grant (Jessica Wolfe) Fatzinger, Corey DeBarbrie, Collin DeBarbrie, eight great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Eden, Adelayde, Hayes, Beckett, Alivia, Tyson and Ella, a brother, Alton (Barb) Wertz of Bloomville, two sisters, Judy (Donald) May of Sycamore and Bonnie Zellner of Bloomville. Annabell was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Roy and Don Wertz, two sisters Lucille Fatzinger and Marjorie May, and son-in-law Roger Smith. Annabell had a love for painting, ceramics, doll making, cake decorating, genealogy, gardening and scrapbooking. Her talents were endless. Her beautiful quilting projects will be treasured by all who have received them. Her precise attention to detail was present in each and every creative endeavor. Above all, Annabell loved her family. The joy her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren brought her was evident at each family gathering. Annabell hosted Holidays well into her 80's, with her home serving as the gathering spot for all those she loved, and all those that loved her in return. Her quiet compassion and warmth was felt the moment you were in her presence. Funeral services for Annabell will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, November 7, 2019, at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home 3085 S. SR. 19 in Bloomville. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bloomville. Visitation for family and friends will also be on Thursday, from 9:30 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Allen Eiry Senior Center.
