SPRINGER, RICHARD “RICH” D., 70, OF PINE GROVE, WV, PASSED AWAY ON FRIDAY, APRIL 15, 2016 AT RUBY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN MORGANTOWN, WV. HE ATTENDED THE PINE GROVE CHRISTIAN CHURCH. HE WAS RETIRED FROM BAYER WITH OVER 37 YEARS OF SERVICE AND SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE. RICH WAS ALSO AN AVID HUNTER AND FISHERMAN. HE WAS BORN APRIL 2, 1946 IN NEW MARTINSVILLE, WV, THE SON OF DOROTHY L. BERDINE SPRINGER AND THE LATE AMBERT “DICK” SPRINGER. SURVIVING ALONG WITH HIS MOTHER IS HIS WIFE, DEBBIE JONES SPRINGER, A DAUGHTER, ELIZABETH (JACK) HARRIS OF BELMONT, WV, TWO SONS, RICHIE (AMY) SPRINGER OF GLENVILLE, WV AND ANDY SPRINGER OF PINE GROVE, SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN, ANNIE AND A.J. HARRIS, KYLE HEATH, CARTER AND BRODIE SPRINGER, AUSTIN SPRINGER AND ASHLYNN SMITH. FRIENDS WILL BE RECEIVED ON SATURDAY, APRIL 23, 2016 AT THE PINE GROVE CHRISTIAN CHURCH FROM 10 AM UNTIL THE TIME OF SERVICE AT 1 PM. INTERMENT AT THE CONVENIENCE OF THE FAMILY. We grew up together. What a great guy. I remember the baseball games we played and basketball. I never heard Rich say anything negative about anyone. Now, you can you imagine someone like that? Yes, he will be missed and I am praying for his family.

I am a retiree of Bayer and I knew Rich very well. It is so sad that he has left us at such an early age. He will be sadly missed by family, friends, Bayer friends & co-workers and his community. R.I.P. my friend.
