Helen Ann (McElroy) Patrick, 79 of Norman passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 in Norman, OK. Helen was born September 17, 1936 in Dearborn, Michigan to John Thomas and Helen Marie McElroy. Helen married Allison Patrick (Al) on August 25, 1956 in Spokane, Washington. Helen and Allison moved to Norman, OK in 1980, from Frankfurt, Germany where Al was stationed with the U.S. Army. They were members of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Norman, OK. Helen worked as a Program Manager for the Area Wide Aging Agency in Oklahoma City and retired from that position in 2000. She remained active in the aging field volunteering to the end. She enjoyed traveling but her greatest love was her family. Helen was a devout member of the Order of Franciscans Secular. Survivors include her husband, Allison Patrick of Norman, OK; one daughter, Kerri Bundy and husband Edwin of Reston, VA; four sons: Chris Patrick of Camp Sherman, OR, Tom Patrick and wife Vickie of Grand Prairie, TX, Dave Patrick and wife Kelly of Oklahoma City, OK, and Steve Patrick and wife Cheryl of Norman, OK; one sister, Kathleen Bergman of Battle Ground, WA; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her mother and father, John and Helen McElroy; son, Joel Patrick; brother, John McElroy; and beloved aunt, Helen Mary McElroy. A Rosary is scheduled for Wednesday, April 20, 7:00 p.m., St. Thomas More University Parish, 100 Stinson Street, Norman, OK 73072. Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 9:30 a.m., Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the St. Thomas More University Parish, Norman, OK. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m., Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, OK. Helen and her family have been entrusted to Tribute Memorial Care of Norman, OK.
