Jana Renee Rice was born, November 19, 1978 in Little Rock, Arkansas to James and Edith (Dodie) Rice. Jana passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Jana is survived by her two sons. James Aiden Swatek and Joseph Asher Swatek; parents, Dodie and James Rice; Sister, Cassie DeAnne Platt; and several nieces and nephews. Jana’s love for life included children, crafts, music, Gerber daisies, and sunflowers. She cherished the arrival of the cool Autumn breezes and would open the windows to clean her home while listening to R&B, hip hop, and 80’s pop. Madonna was her favorite. The scents of rosemary and sage gently filled her home, as well as the aroma of her homemade specialty treats, such as fudge and peanut butter granola bars. Dr. Pepper and M & M’s were Jana’s favorite snack, and white was her favorite color. Jana has left many wonderful memories that will always be cherished. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
