Ben Payne, 68 of Ferris, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011 at a Garland hospital. Ben was born to Charles and Maria Florez Payne on April 4, 1943 in Del Rio, Texas. Ben married Teodora Gaytan April 14, 1961 and had six children, Lidia, Gloria, Ben, Mary, Chale and Dianna. He lived his life serving God; loved his ranch, animals, farming and living in the country. Ben loved the simple life and he was always there for his family. He was a quiet man, believing that if you didn’t have anything important to say, you shouldn’t say anything at all. He will be loved and missed by his family and all those that knew him. Ben was preceded in death by his daughter, Gloria. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2010 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Enrique Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
