Hope Marie Jordan, PhD, 64, died, October 28, 2019 in her home with her loving family at her side, holding her hands. She was a native of Racine, Wisconsin and was a resident of Hampton Roads since 1986. She was predeceased by her parents Clay Edwin Morgan and Arlene June Cipov Morgan. Hope was a graduate of The University of Wisconsin, George Washington University and Regent University. Hope was a Professor at Regent University in the School of Education instructing Masters and PhD level students. Hope was a published author of many books and articles, "Princesses Dont get Cancer", "Ladies Who Lead" and "Leadership Bloopers and Blunders" to name a few. However, she enjoyed writing childrens books most, "Millions and Billions and Zillions of Lady Bugs" was her most recent. Hope will be forever remembered by her survivors, her loving husband of 46 years, Richard Delbert Jordan, her daughter, Rhiannon Marie Jordan and her son Richard Scott Jordan (Marissa) all of Chesapeake, VA. She is also survived by her brothers; Mark Morgan (Cynthia) of Strum, Wisconsin and Stuart Morgan (Pamela) of Olathe, Kansas and her three beloved grandchildren; Logan Franz Schuster, Morgan Jordan Perry and Jordan Marie Hazelbaker. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chesapeake chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., on Saturday, November 9th at 3:00 p.m. by the Reverend Ernie Meyers. The family will receive guests at their home immediately following the service at 711 Forest Glade Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23322. Burial will be private in the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Virginia. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Research Institute at CancerResearch.org.
