Ronald Paul McKinley

Ronald McKinley, 71, passed away at his home in Midway, Texas October 21, 2019. A celebration of his life will be held 10 A.M., Monday, October 28, 2019, at North Madison Church of Christ. Jerrod Doss will officiate the service. Ronald Paul McKinley was born December 13, 1947 in Houston, Texas to Barnum Bruce & Myra Louise (Terrell) McKinley. He had worked for United Rentals as a bookkeeper for twenty years. He was also assistant to the chaplain at the Ferguson Unit of the T.D.C.J. Ronald’s prison ministry was particularly important to him, and he spent many hours preparing for each class. Additionally, Ronald owned and operated his own real estate business, Ronco Realty. Country life was the life for Ronald and he enjoyed all that it had to offer including hunting and fishing. Ronald also liked the game of dominoes and had won several trophies playing the game competitively. Ronald had been a resident of Madison County for the past eight years and was a member of North Madison Church of Christ. Ronald was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by wife, Lynda McKinley of Midway; son, Matthew Kevin McKinley of Houston; daughter, Kelcy Shannon Sagstetter of Washington, D.C.; brothers, Barnum Bruce McKinley, Jr. (Debbie) and David McKinley, all of Houston and sister, Debbie Lou Douglas (Mike) of Houston. Final arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas.
