Peggy Marlene Ratliff Hobson

Peggy Marlene Ratliff Hobson, age 77 of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at her home. She was a member of the Pikeville United Methodist Church and former member of the Coal Run Homemakers Club. She was a quilt maker and loved sewing. Peggy was born at Cowpen, Kentucky on October 24, 1942 the daughter of the late Charley T. and Lillian Stinson Ratliff. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Ratliff and Herbert Ratliff and one sister, Estelle Larson. She is survived by her husband, Robert E. “Bob” Hobson, three step-sons, Michael (Barbara) Hobson and Gary (Sharon) Hobson both of Middletown, Ohio and Timothy (Tonya) Hobson of Tigard, Oregon and one brother, James B. Ratliff (Joann) of Titusville, Florida. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Josh Hobson, Paul Hobson, Josh Hobson and Timothy Jacob Hobson and three great-grandchildren, William Hobson, Alex Hobson and Ben Hobson and a special nephew and his wife, Jim and Kim Ratliff of Virgie, Kentucky and a special niece and her wife, Paula Ratliff and Dawn Ratliff of Louisville, Kentucky and caregiver, Megan Webb.

Peggy and Bob were our neighbors and friends for many years. It is so heartbreaking to hear of her passing. My deepest heartfelt condolences to her husband and kids. She touched so many lives. My girls loved her so much! She Will be missed.
