Willie Edward "Moose" Miller, 74, of 144 Buddy Lane, Statesville, departed this life on Sunday October 20, 2019. He was born in Iredell County on March 30, 1945, and was the son of the late Willie Lee and Louise Turner Miller. He was married to Josephine Daniels Miller, who survives. He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Daisey Ann Holmes, Mary Ann Gordie, Mildred Scott and Vonnie Miller.

He was a 1963 graduate of Morningside High School and prior to his retirement he was employed by the City of Statesville. He was a member of Holsey Memorial C.M.E. Church, where he served President of the Lay Council of Holsey Memorial CME Church as well as member Winston Salem District and Carolina Regional Annual Conference, Member of the Methodist Men, Sunday School Teacher, Teacher of Bible School. He was also a member of the Bristol Road Senior Citizens.

In addition to his wife Josephine Daniels Miller, he leaves to cherish the memory of his life two sons, Timothy (Margarita) Miller and Daniel (Shatonga) Miller both of Statesville; a daughter, Lisa (Bertrand) Scott of Statesvile; a brother, Kenneth B. Miller of the Home; two sisters, Brenda (Willard) Parker of Harmony and Adell (Frank) White of Statesville; eleven grandchildren, Devin Miller, Brandon Clontz, Brittany Scott, Quadry Redmond, Te'Osha Miller, Dez-Twan Scot, Timothy D. Miller, A'nysa Caldwell, Shaylah Miller, Amaya Tipps and Daniel Miller, Jr.; five great grandchildren, Aaliyah Miller, Camilla Redmond, Dainella Redmond, Lauryn Scott and Kainon South; three sister-in-laws, Joan Daniels, Ora (William) Merritt amd Sherry Mayfield ; a brother-in-law, John (Eva) Daniels; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
