Jimmy Dee Coker, age 78, of Navarro passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 26, 1941 in Eureka, Texas to Arthur Thomas Coker and Annie Mosley Coker. Jimmy Dee was a strong Christian man and attended Calvary Worship Center in Corsicana until he became ill. He worked as a service man for Navarro County Electric Coop for 40 years. He loved to play the guitar and sing. Jimmy and his wife, Betty held musicals on Thursday nights at their shop for many years. He loved collecting antique cars and was a member of the Car Club. He was also a member of the Motorcycle Club and enjoyed his fellowship with the members. He was a fan of softball, not only watching but playing whenever he got the chance. He enjoyed going to swap meets and estate sales as often as possible. He worked as a reserve police officer. Jimmy’s best times were having meetings with friends for coffee and fellowship daily. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings; Lois, Winston, Orin, Floyd, Bobby and Betty. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Coker; his sons; Jimmy Coker and Jayson Coker and his wife, Michelle. Many, many friends are left behind to remember the great times spent with Jimmy. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Worship Center at 1364 N Beaton in Corsicana with Bro. Gary Johnson officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Bronny Watson, Danny Combs, Ronald Stewart, Johnny Coker, Mike White and Richard Rash. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Butler, Charles Walpole, Keith Weaver, Jimmy Young, Donald Ray Cofer, Doug Hollifield, Bill Little, Clifford Dill, Bill Dill and Larry Reed.
