Kim Colburn

Danielson - Kim Colburn 53, lifetime resident of Danielson, died March 2, 2016 at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT. She was born on March 27, 1962, daughter of David J. Colburn Sr. and Jeanette Colburn. Kim worked at Wescott/Haven Health and Oakcrest Manor as a CNA/CMT for many years. She was a member of the South Killingly Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the South Killingly Fire Department where she served as an MRT and fire police. Kim was married and baptized at The Church of the Messiah in Foster, RI. She was also a member at St. Alban’s Church in Danielson where she sang in the choir and helped with the Be Our Guest Supper and food bank for many years. She helped the needy. Kim loved doing arts and crafts, gardening, spending all her free time with her grandchildren, and many hours with her granddaughter at Boston Children’s Hospital. Besides her parents she is survived by her companion John Michaud; children, David Colburn III and companion Jennifer Beaulieu, Kristina Colburn and companion Nick Seoane, Stephanie Michaud and husband Travis Michaud; sister Vicki King of TX; grandchildren, Ryan Griggs, Kiley Griggs and Kenneth Griggs Jr.; ex-husband David Colburn Jr., longtime family member Kenneth Griggs Sr. and many uncles, aunts and cousins. She was predeceased by son David John Scott and great grandparents Florence and Lewis Colburn. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 1:00-3:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main St., Danielson, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations made be made to The Make a Wish Foundation.

U were awesome mama killingly I remember always coming over with Kristen to hang out and David always talked about the fire department ur Def gonna be missed for sure I miss the old days I really do R.I.P till we meet again
