Eric Leo Webb Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Obituary

Eric Leo Webb

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Eric Webb, age 52, our most beloved Dad, Son, Brother, Uncle, family member and friend passed on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. Eric was born on September 7, 1967, in Spokane, WA, and was a longtime resident of Spirit Lake, Idaho. Eric went to school at Lakeland and was in the Class of ’86. He played baseball on the Spirit Lake Little League team; was the Mascot for the Lakeland Jr. High School Drill Team; a member of the Spanish Club; and was on the High School wrestling team. Eric was an entrepreneur from a young age. His first business was selling Twinkies from his lunches in elementary school. After graduating from High School, Eric started several businesses. The first painting company was ‘Beat any Bid Kid.’ He and Genie then opened ‘Webcor Painting & Landscaping,’ which became one of the largest painting companies in the Inland Empire during the 90’s real estate boom. Seeing the growth in the real estate industry, they moved to Boise and started residential construction companies, Regency Homes and Premier Homes. Eric was a member of NIBCA and Post Falls Planning & Zoning. Eric has 4 wonderful and amazing children with Genie: Natasha, Justin, Tristan, and Cody. His children were the pride and joy of his life. He always wanted them to know that he was thinking of them and would send them good night texts - his way of “tucking them into bed” at night. Eric had many passions in his life. He loved taking family and friends for rides on the patio boat around Spirit Lake, golfing, snow skiing and water skiing. He earned the nickname “Skip” because he would skip across the water when he fell skiing. Most of all, Eric loved spending time with family and friends. Eric is survived by his Mom, Sherry Haislet; his children, Natasha (Nick Garcia), Justin, Cody, and Tristan; his siblings, Lisa Sweeney, Rob (Shawnon) Webb, Jolene (George) Ferguson and Elaine (Tue) Gouker; nephews, Austin Webb, Tanner Webb, Trent Sweeney, Aaron Castanon, and Caelan Lauwers; nieces, Sydney Sweeney and Jessica Castanon; grandchildren, Kaidyn, Brantlee and Camia; Bob Webb; Aunts, Cousins and many great friends. He was preceded in death by his Dad, Jim Haislet. Eric was an inspiration to all. Those who knew Eric, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. Eric will be remembered by his family as a burning light who inspired them to reach for their dreams. To get that first deal and more will come. Eric showed us what we could be. His energy and spirit will live on in us and we will forever be grateful for his presence in our lives. Eric would say that all we can do is forgive - others and ourselves; know that we are all doing the best that we can; to live life on our own terms; relax, and remember to have fun. Eric would like to let you know that his work here is done and he is now a Guardian Angel watching over all of us. Eric’s Mom always says that her children are gifts from God. Now God has called one of them home to him. The family asks that you join them for a Celebration of Life and make a toast to enduring friendships - lifelong and beyond. That is what Eric would want. Eric, you will not be forgotten. We LOVE and MISS you so much. Freedom! A Celebration of life will be held 5:00-9:00 pm, Friday October 25, 2019; at the Boars Nest (Sedlmayers) in Spirit Lake, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, come have a drink with friends and share your memories of good times with Eric.
