Amy Sue Bazinette, 35, of Negaunee, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at her home. Amy Sue, ‘Papoose’ as her Grandpa Lammie called her, was born June 11, 1984 in Marquette, to Vigil and Susan (Lammie) Bazinette and graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 2002. Known as ‘Bazo’ or ‘Baz’ by friends, Amy was an avid softball player beginning with tee ball and continuing through this past summer playing in the Iron Range Women’s League. She also played co-ed softball and was a member of the Negaunee and Ishpeming Pool Leagues. Amy was a selfless friend who was always willing to help out her friends and family. She was a very hard worker who knew ‘everyone,’ and easily won people over with her kindness, humor and smile. Surviving are her beloved daughters, Hailey and Hannah Nelson; her loving mother, Susan Bazinette; two sisters, Lori Hebert and Angel (Adam) Feustel; brother, Aaron Curcio; her godparents, Uncle Larry and Auntie Faye (Lammie) Stratton; Uncle Bradley Bazinette and Aunt Kathy Bazinette; several special cousins and her beloved dog, Zo. Amy was preceded in death by her father, Vigil Bazinette; paternal grandparents, Vigil and Darlene Bazinette; and maternal grandparents, Henry and Sylvia Lammie. A Celebration of Life and potluck luncheon will be held at the Negaunee Eagle’s Club on Wednesday, October 16th from 1-4 pm. Amy’s memorial page may be viewed at koskeyfuneralhome.com.
