Kathy Lynn Walker

Kathy Lynn Walker of Miami, OK went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday October 10, 2019 in her home. She was 68. Kathy was born Sept 10, 1951 in Miami, OK to Arley and Marian (Cole) Gailey. Kathy attended Miami High School graduating in 1969 and was a Miamiette. She then furthered her education at N.E.O. A& M College where she was a Norse Star and graduated with an associate’s degree. Shortly after graduation she went to work at NEO in the registrar’s office and became the assistant registrar. Kathy was a devout Christian and lived her life for the Lord. She always loved her family and devoted her life to them. She has made a huge impact on so many lives especially to her children, grandchildren and to all that considered her to be a second mom. Kathy always opened her home with welcome arms to anyone in need, you never left hungry or needed a place to lay your head. Kathy married Ed Walker in April 2000 in Miami; he preceded her in death as well as her parents, a brother Clint Gailey, two sisters Marie Teetshorn and Shari Carrico. Kathy is survived by two sons Tyge Ferrier and Cade Harris, five grandchildren Tallon, Taylee, Lyssa, Dannikah and Heaven Leigh, one sister Sue Morrison and husband Scott, one sister – in – law Martha Gailey and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Welch Cemetery in Welch, OK. Services have been placed in the Care of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK. Online condolences may be made at www.paulthomasfuneralhomes.com

Kathy was always friendly, happy, and ready for a hug every time I saw her. She ferociously loved her family and friends and gave her love and time to all of them. I will always remember her beautiful blue eyes and her smile. She will be missed.
