Nancy Lorainne Courson, age 74 of Cleveland, died on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Ridgeview Care Center, LeSueur. Visitation will be held at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 1 to 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Soderstrum Funeral Home, Slater, IA on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. with a visitation for one hour prior to the service in Soderstrum Funeral Home. Interment will be at Slater City Cemetery, Slater, IA. Nancy Lorainne, the daughter of Perry and Gladys (Christianson) Dickerson was born on January 9, 1945 in Des Moines, IA. Nancy attended Boone Community College and Bernell Cosmetology School in Ames, IA. She was formerly employed as a hairstylist; at Faribault Daily News in advertising sales, at Turnbull Realty as a realtor, and also co-owned and co-operated the “Get Equipped” embroidery business of Faribault. On December 27, 1986 she married Jerry Lee Courson in Boonville, IN. She is survived by her husband, Jerry; two daughters, Kimberly Withrow of Faribault and Cassandra Book of Waterloo, IA; one grand-daughter, Grace Withrow of Faribault; two siblings, Pastor Paul (and Lora) Dickerson of Herrick, IL and Gary (and Sue) Dickerson of Liberty, MO; other relatives; and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Richard Dickerson in infancy.
