O B I T U A R Y Doris Ann Slinker Mrs. Doris Ann Simmons Slinker of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Rollin G. Simmons and Clara Price Simmons, was born on Tuesday, February 21, 1933 in Barren County, Kentucky and departed this life on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Green Hill Rehab & Care Center. She was 86 years, 7 months, and 19 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She united in marriage to Garland Ray Slinker in September of 1980 who preceded her in death on January 1, 2004. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Kerry and Lanetta Davis of Greensburg; three step-daughters and their spouses: Gean and Danny Wright, Dean and Gary Burris all of Greensburg, and Rita and Larry Creason of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Kyle Davis and his wife Autumn of Campbellsville, and Lindsey Fields and her husband, Steven of Greensburg; four great-grandchildren: Bradley Davis, Keaton Davis both of Owensboro, Ethan Fields, and Andrew Fields both of Greensburg; six step-grandchildren; host of step-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Roger P. Simmons, and Gail Simmons both of Edmonton; and a host of other relatives and friends. ........................................ The funeral services for Mrs. Doris Ann Simmons Slinker will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Bro. Wilburn Bonta and Trent Creason officiating. Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Sunday until time of the funeral service. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Macedonia Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
