Pearl Nethery

Pearl Hubbard Nethery age 97 of Fairview Avenue, Bremen, passed away on Thursday, 10 October 2019 at her Bremen home of 64 years. She was born in Glennville, Georgia (Tattnal County) on 1 March 1922, daughter of the late Samuel Alfred Hubbard and Allie Faye Deloache Hubbard of Bremen. Mrs. Nethery attended The University of Georgia and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. She was also a faithful Atlanta Braves fan to the end. Miss Pearl was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. Mrs. Nethery had been a member of the First Baptist Church of Bremen since 1939 when she moved to Bremen from Glennville, Georgia. She was a member of the Bremen Garden Club, Bremen Bridge Club, The Bremen Atheneum Club, and The Bremen Sewing Club. Mrs. Nethery was preceded in death by her husband, James Grady Nethery, Sr. Mrs. Nethery is survived by her children; Jim and Nancy Nethery of Bremen. Ambassador Dell (Lieutenant General, retired) and Mary (Nethery) Dailey of Placida, Florida. Grandchildren include; Patrick and Kimberly(Nethery) Thomson, of McKinney, Texas. Tommy and Aimee(Nethery) Rawls of Weatherford, Texas. Dell Dailey, Jr and Lauren(Schmidt) of Sausalito, California. David Dailey of Alexandria, Virginia. Drey Dailey of Los Angeles, California. Wes and Allison(Dailey) Tucker of Reston, Virginia. Natalie Suzanne Dailey, Captain, United States Army. She is survived by five great-grandchildren; William, Edward, and Henry Thompson Madeline Camp and Holly Rawls. Services will be Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00 am at the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Brother Herman Parker officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 am. In Lieu of Flowers the family asks that donations to be sent to The Ladies Sunday School Class of The First Baptist Church of Bremen, Georgia in memory of Pearl Nethery.
