Raymond C. Reynolds

Raymond Charles Reynolds Standish, Michigan Raymond C. Reynolds, 71, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Eden Fields Assisted Living, Standish, Michigan. Ray was born February 2, 1948 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Charles and Cecelia (Verbeke) Reynolds. He retired from the Bay City Post Office February 2008 after 25 years of service. He received many awards from the Post Office for his special contributions to the betterment of the U. S. Post Office. Ray served his country in Vietnam in the U. S. Army from August 18, 1966 till August 19, 1969. While in Vietnam he received a Certificate of Achievement for Meritorious Performance of Duty. He displayed an exceptional degree of devotion to duty in support of military engineering operations. With retirement Ray loved to fish, garden and take care of his cats. Ray is survived by his 3 children; 2 – Daughters, Trisha (Lupe) Castillo and Tracy (Matthew) Hernandez and 1 – Son, Raymond (Jenifer Wirth) Reynolds. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren; Kyle Reynolds, Collin Reynolds, Dylan Reynolds, Emily Reynolds, Alyvia Reynolds, Jacob Wegener, Gabriella Wegener, Matthias Castillo, Kylie Hernandez and Kadin Hernandez. Ray is survived by 2 Cousins, Joe (Sue) Verbeke and Sally (Dave Osbourn) Coture. Besides his parents he was pre-deceased by a Brother, Randy, a Sister, Connie and a Grandson, Ricky Wegener. Funeral Services will be Monday, October 14, 2019 at 4:00pm at Ray’s residence, 2606 Setlak Rd., Standish, Michigan with Rev. Fr. David Par officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will greet friends and family from 12 Noon till time of service at 4:00 pm at Ray’s residence, 2606 Setlak Rd. Ray’s family would like to give a special thanks to Eden Fields Assisted Living and Southern Care Hospice for their excellent care while at Eden Fields.
