Ms. Adell Anderson Thompson departed from this earth Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 94 years of age. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Rogers presiding. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the church prior to the service with a private family burial to follow in the church cemetery. Ms. Thompson was the daughter of the late Russell Phillip Anderson and Abia Edenfield Anderson and was also preceded in death by her husband Denver E. Thompson, by a son Phillip B. (Buddy) Stephens, and by a daughter Debora Lesick. She was born January 22, 1925 in Jesup, Georgia, was a nurse first and foremost, a wonderful mother and grandmother, and a loving wife. She lived a full, wonderful, godly life and will be missed by many. Ms. Thompson is survived by a daughter Donna Jean Todd of Dublin, by a son Ernest Gordon (E.G.) Stephens, Jr. of Peoria, Arizona, and by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
